College Outcomes Data

Terms of Use

By the College Outcomes Data Editorial Team  ·  Last updated: October 2026

These terms govern your use of collegeoutcomesdata.com. By using the site you accept them; if you do not accept them, do not use the site. The site publishes public data from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard for general information and comparison. It is provided free, as is, and its content may be updated, corrected or withdrawn at any time as new federal releases appear or errors are verified.

Use of the data

The underlying College Scorecard data is a work of the United States federal government and is in the public domain; our selection, arrangement, calculations, benchmarks and editorial text are the site's own. You may quote figures from this site with attribution to College Outcomes Data and to the College Scorecard release stated on the page, provided you reproduce the definitions and caveats that accompany the figure — in particular that earnings cover federal financial-aid recipients in a defined historical cohort. Quoting a figure stripped of its population, date or companion debt and completion measures, in a way that misleads a reader, is a breach of these terms as well as of ordinary honesty.

No advice, no warranty

Nothing on this site is financial, admissions, legal or career advice for any individual. Cohort medians describe other students in other years; they cannot predict an individual's admission, aid, completion, earnings or loan burden. While we work to reproduce the source files accurately, we do not warrant that every figure is free of transcription, calculation or source error, and the authoritative record is always the College Scorecard file itself for the stated release. Decisions with financial consequences should be verified against the college's own publications, its net price calculator, and the current Scorecard release before they are made.

Acceptable use

You may browse, link to and quote the site for personal, educational and journalistic purposes. You may not use automated means to disrupt the site, misrepresent the site's data as your own product without attribution, use the contact form to send unsolicited commercial messages, spam or unlawful material, or attempt to submit data through the form other than a genuine enquiry. The contact form includes technical measures, including a hidden field, against automated submissions, and messages identified as automated or abusive may be discarded without response.

Liability and changes

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site's operators are not liable for losses arising from reliance on published figures, from unavailability of the site, or from decisions made using the data, which remain the responsibility of the decision-maker. These terms may be revised by publishing a revised version on this page with an updated stamp; the version in force is the one published when you use the site. If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force, and the site's privacy policy and disclaimer form part of the terms applicable to your use.

Note on this data: Figures on this page come from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard release retrieved in October 2026. Earnings cover students who received federal financial aid and were working and not enrolled at the measurement point; they are medians for a defined past cohort, not a promise of what any individual graduate will earn. Check the college and the Scorecard for the most current figures before you decide.
